# \[2023-11-27] Egypt Fawry Channel Adjustment

We would like to inform you that we will be pausing the Payment Channel: Fawry Egypt until further notice. This pause is due to challenges in repatriating USD out of Egypt for Fawry, the channel will stay paused till we find a long-term and sustainable solution for fund remittance. **Successful transactions earlier will still be settled.**

Note that the Fawry channel can remain open for you if you are willing to be settled at the **GDR rate + 7%** which is approximately USDEGP 63.3 today (but this rate is not fixed and may move with time). All other channels in Egypt remain open as we are able to settle the collections.\
**Effective from: Friday, 27 November 2023, 10 AM SGT**

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through this temporary pause.

Should you require further information or assistance during this period, please do not hesitate to contact your business development manager with any queries. We are here to address any concerns or questions you may have.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in our services.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.coda.co/changelog/legacy-changelog/2023-11-27-egypt-fawry-channel-adjustment.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
