# Initiate USD Transactions

This feature allows Codapay partners to initiate transaction requests in US Dollars, eliminating the requirement for them to maintain price lists in the numerous local currencies they operate within.

Partners can now maintain a single price list in USD, while Codapay takes care of real-time currency conversion. Our FX conversion uses the mid-market rate sourced from a wide array of reputable commercial sources and banks.

This system of multiple fallbacks ensures the highest levels of accuracy and reliability.

## Request Currency

For payment requests, Codapay currency parameter offers two options:

* Local currency
* US Dollar
