Self-billing
Self-billing is an optional feature designed to simplify your administrative workflow. Instead of you creating and sending us an invoice every month, Coda does the heavy lifting for you. We generate the invoice on your behalf based on your final settlement figures.
How It Works
Authorization: By opting in, you authorize Coda to issue invoices for your content sales. You agree not to send separate invoices for these transactions
Timeline: Within 10 days after the end of each month, Coda will deliver your self-billed invoice covering the previous month's aggregate sales
Review: You have 7 business days to review the invoice and notify us of any discrepancies
Payment: Once the invoice is finalized, Coda will process payment according to the timeline specified
Benefits of Self-Billing
Reduced Administrative Burden: No need to manually generate, format, or send monthly invoices.
Faster Reconciliation: Because the invoice is based on final settlement data, it reduces the risk of calculation errors between our two systems.
Guaranteed Compliance: Our invoices are designed to meet standard regulatory requirements, and we provide templates for your records.
Better Organization: All your billing history is generated in a consistent format, making auditing and tax season much easier.
Your Responsibilities
To keep things running smoothly, we ask our partners to:
Review Records: Regularly reconcile Coda’s invoices against your own internal records.
Keep Us Updated: Please notify us immediately if there are changes to your:
Bank account details.
Tax registration status (e.g., GST registration or cancellations).
Tax treatment or compliance status.
Important Note for Singapore (SG) GST-Registered Publishers: By using self-billing, you agree to remit the GST (in SGD) shown on the invoice as output tax to the Comptroller of GST and confirm you will not issue your own separate invoices for these sales.
A Note on Accuracy & Records
Precision: Coda ensures the accuracy of all self-billed invoices. If an error is found, we will work with you to resolve it per our Agreement terms.
Record Keeping: We retain copies of all invoices for auditing and verification.
Payment Security: Please note that failure to comply with these obligations (such as updating bank details or tax status) may result in payment delays.
